The Static Planning Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring all static equipment activities including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, tanks, and piping systems in Oil & Gas projects using Primavera P6 and SAP.
Plan, schedule, and track static equipment installation, maintenance, shutdown, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
🔹 Develop project schedules, resource plans, and manpower allocation for static equipment works
🔹 Monitor progress of shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance activities
🔹 Coordinate with project engineers, QC, HSE, and operations for workflow optimization
🔹 Update schedules in Primavera P6 and track material & manpower in SAP
🔹 Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and highlight critical path issues
🔹 Support risk assessments, PTW, and LOTO planning for static activities
🔹 Identify potential delays and propose corrective actions
🔹 Maintain project documentation including Gantt charts, resource histograms, and work progress logs
Qualifications
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma – Mechanical or relevant field
🛠 5–10 years experience in Oil & Gas projects with static equipment planning
💻 Proficient in Primavera P6 and SAP ERP
