We are hiring Confined Space Technicians (BAN-2 / BAN Certified) for short-term shutdown projects in the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations in confined spaces, including monitoring gas levels, supporting workers, and adhering to safety protocols during shutdown and turnaround activities. This is a short-term project with bulk hiring (600+ positions).
Responsibilities
Monitor and support workers inside confined spaces (Tanks, Vessels, Boilers, Reactors, Silos, Pits)
Conduct atmospheric testing for toxic, flammable, or oxygen-deficient environments
Follow Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures strictly
Ensure proper use of PPE, gas detectors, and other safety equipment
Communicate with site supervisors, safety officers, and standby personnel
Assist in emergency response and rescue operations if needed
Maintain daily records of activities, hazards, and incidents
Ensure all confined space work complies with HSE / OSHA standards
Support shutdown operations efficiently and safely
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
Qualifications
BAN-2 / Confined Space Entry Certification mandatory
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, or industrial shutdown projects
Experience working in Confined Spaces and hazardous areas
Knowledge of toxic gases, gas monitoring, safety standards, and emergency procedures
Good communication and teamwork skills
