The MFD Supervisor will be responsible for supervising mechanical fabrication and piping activities at site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and client procedures. The role requires strong leadership, coordination with multiple teams, and efficient execution of work within schedule and budget.
Responsibilities
Ensure strict compliance with company, client, safety, and quality policies
Follow HSE standards, PPE requirements, and project-specific KPIs
Plan and prepare manpower requirements and deployment
Prepare material and welding consumable take-offs and requisitions
Organize work groups, tools, materials, and equipment
Allocate work and conduct toolbox talks and job-specific JSAs
Read and interpret isometrics, P&IDs, procedures, and equipment drawings
Coordinate with QA/QC, planning, and subcontractors
Maintain manpower and man-hour records
Liaise with client representatives and resolve site issues
Ensure work is executed as per Quality Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, and ASME codes
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
Execute work as per project schedule and optimize resources
Qualifications
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects
Strong experience in mechanical fabrication, piping, construction, and repair works
Experience in manufacturing vessels, heat exchangers, and static equipment
Knowledge of ASME codes, HSE standards, and QA/QC procedures
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, reporting)
Good communication, leadership, and time-management skills
